Mobile Application | GE gambles fuel-price Mapping


GE Capital Fleet Services released a new mobile application today That helpscash strapped the car down ownerstrack cheap gasoline.

Programs, U.S. Fuel Price Mapping, provides driversdirections togas stationswiththe cheapest Nearby froma mobile device. It works like this:

Drivers enter their location, search distance and the necessary fuel. Five localities with the lowest fuel price options are listed first, the ability to list the other sites. All results can be re-sorted by brand or radiation. Drivers' emotional areas of any site selected can be plotted on a map of the GPS and the maps can be replaced with satellite, hybrid or terrain views. Fuel prices listed reflect the latest and accurate information.

"The U.S. price of fuel mapping application is a great addition to our products, helping the drivers on the road," said Deb Frodl, Chief Strategy Officer, GE Capital Fleet Services press release of the application's release.

The new application is the latest suite of mobile applications offered byGeneral Electric 's Fleet Services Division. Based in Eden Prairie, Minn., GE CapitalFleet Servicesis the world's fleet management operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Ithasdeveloped suiteof products targeting the drivers and fleet managers. Other products include repair service provider, whose aim is to help the drivers to the nearest and most convenient service providers, and Personal Mileage reporting, which enables drivers to report the personal use of miles, using mobile devices.
